I’m Heather, founder of Boss In Heels and Senior Advisor to InnerFifth
My career began in broadcasting as a salesperson in radio. After working my way up to finally winning the Most Influential Women in Radio in 2017, I was fired! That’s when I got serious about Boss In Heels, where I show you how to own your unique strengths to achieve success.
In the months after being fired, I was featured on the Elvis Duran Radio show, self-published my first book Confidence Creator, and was named Brand Ambassador for Perry Ellis International’s female brand Rafaella. Since then, Thrive Global named me a limit-breaking female founder and I was asked to serve as a member of the Florida International University Advisory Council.
Even with all of this success, I was still the one who was always poking fun at myself. I thought it made me relatable, but what it did was make me appear like someone with low self-worth. I didn’t know this until one of my dear friends and boss in heels in her own right pointed it out to me.
That’s what attracted me to InnerFifth. We need a place where high-achieving female founders are surrounded by people pushing the needle, breaking boundaries, and who are not afraid to call it like it is.
